About FashAddict
FashAddict is a website for people who, like us, are inspired by the big city lifestyle and like their fashion with a bit of an edge. It's updated weekly with new styles in the shop, style tips and fashion news in our blog.
FashAddict originally contracted me to provide fixes to their site that was developed by another development company. After working with them providing the necessary fixes we developed a longer term working relationship as they valued my work and commitment so approached me with plans to re-launch the site. As the original site was developed in Asp.Net 1.1 using bad programming practices with little to no separation of logic I took the opportunity to upgrade the site to Asp.Net 3.5 using the MVP design pattern to separate business logic from data and view logic.
As this was a large project with multiple items of functionality I first compiled some technical specifications to help control the project and deliver the site on time and without scope creep. Once signed off I worked closely with their designer Linda Vemane who provided me layered Photoshop designs which I took and converted to XHTML and CSS. I worked on all aspects of the site from the Asp.Net C# code to designing and building the database using Microsoft SQL Server 2008.
